Lakers @ Bucks

KOBE SEEMS TO HAVE OTHER PLAYERS ON TEAM
INDIANAPOLIS - NOVEMBER 20: Luke Walton #4 of the Los Angeles Lakers shoots over Jamaal Tinsley #11 and Jermaine O'Neal #7 of the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse on November 20, 2007 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Lakers had 8 players in double figures last night, Kobe not only did his thing but it seems that the rest of the cast is pretty good. The Bucks better watchout tonight, the Lakers are for real and should kick ass tonight. The Lakers also made news yesterday by trading away Bryan Cook and Mo Evans to Orlando for Trevor Ariza. Ariza might even suit up for tonights game.  Sad to see Evans move on but lets see what Ariza has to bring to the team.

Lakers @ Pacers

The Bulls had a good look at what could be their future on Sunday

LOS ANGELES - NOVEMBER 18: Kobe Bryant #24 of the Los Angeles Lakers shoots over Kirk Hinrich #12 of the Chicago Bulls during their game at Staples Center on November 18, 2007 in Los Angeles, California. At the moment, the lakers are taking on the pacers on what should be a close game. The lakers are currently 6-3 and in 2nd place in the Pac division. As long as we give the ball to kobe, we should be able to beat the pacers.

Peja and Paul were too much for the Lakers to handle, we’re back at .500. This was such a let down, how could we lose to the Hornets at home.  Even though it was a loss, we are seeing the improvement of Turiaf, Bynum, and Farmar.  They look more comfortable out there and are not looking over their shoulder for Kobe’s approval.  Game 5 will be at the winless Minnesota T-Wolves, this should be a blowout. No excuses.

Game 4

New Orleans Hornets @ Los Angeles Lakers
Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Farmar (5) puts up a shot as Utah Jazz forward Paul Millsap (24) guards during the second half of their NBA basketball game, Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, in Los Angeles. The Lakers won 119-109.

The Lakers are coming off back-to-back wins from the Suns and Jazz. They have small 2 game winning streal going right now which should continue after tonights game.  Bynum and Farmar were able to give the Lakers an extra boost of energy on Sunday and were able to pull of the victory. The Hornets are also a young and hungry team that seem to give the Lakers a hard time but we should still win.

Los Angeles vs. Phoenix Suns

Game 2, Phoenix Suns @ Los Angeles Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant, right, yells at a referee after not being given three free throws after being fouled during the final moments of a basketball game against the Houston Rockets in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007. Rockets won 95-93.

The Lakers came close on the season opener but were unable to defend a 3-pt shot from Shane Battier.  Kobe was also fouled with the ball and it seem like he should have been granted 3 free throws but wasn’t.  It was good to see DFish back, but he needs to take more control of the ball.  Bynum was late to the game so he did not see much playing time, in order for us to win, he needs to be out there for 30mins+.  Kobe looks to be in shoot first, pass never mentality again.  He’ll probably go for another 40pt game, but will that be enough to beat The Suns? Probably not.  The Suns are once again the favorites to win it all, but as long as we have Kobe we have a shot.

Lakers Season Opener

Houston Rockets @ Los Angeles Lakers 10/30

                                   THE FUTURE

Tonight will be the season opener for the LA Lakers as they face off the Houston Rockets.  Kobe Bryant has been place on the inactive list so he will not see any action.  He has been placed on the inactive list due to his wrist. The return of Derek Fisher will probably be the only good thing about tonights game.  Houston have very high hopes this this year as they have a healthy and hungry duo of Yao and TMac.  The Rockets will be contenders this year and look forward towards the playoffs. As far as the Lakers go, they are not looking so good. Kobe Bryant has been a major problem this offseason and his time is running out.  I understand that Jim and Jerry Buss do not want to make the same mistake when it came to trading away Shaq, they are taking their time and will only make a trade when they think it is fair.  I hope Andrew Bynum is able to become a superstar and one day dunk all over Kobe.

Game Results:
Rockets 95   Lakers 84
